A PETROL lawn mower worth more than £300 was taken from a shed in Lydney last week.
The theft has prompted local police to warn gardeners in the area to check their security heading into the summer season.
Thieves forced their way into a garden shed in Rodley Road after breaking the padlock some time between Thursday March 1 and Thursday April 5.
They stole a red Honda petrol driven lawn mower and a petrol strimmer.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident 323 of April 5.
