IN reply to the letter Wartime Allies by Kit Spackman. Those who came to our aid in the RAF were not confined to Europeans. There were also Canadians, Australians, Rhodesians, South Africans and New Zealanders, plus one or two Americans. There were also Indians and no doubt others.
As I understand it, they all made their own way to the Royal Canadian Air Force station at Picton, Toronto from where they were taken to England.
