AFTER reading Paul Morgan's letter in the Review regarding the proposed development of Northern United, the truth of the whole situation is exposed in the very last paragraph with the word insurance.
The whole scheme is doomed to failure because no-one in their right mind will cover the cost of insurance for buildings erected over 150 old mine shafts which have only been covered over by council waste and are now leaking methane gas.
If, due to an unsightly mistake, the council's grandiose plan goes ahead, it will cost taxpayers millions of pounds to cover the insurance costs involved.
Even more money down the drain.
– Rod Dingwall, Coleford.
