IN showers and sunshine and with dignity and pride the Forest and Wye Valley remembered those who fell in conflicts around the world.
There were ceremonies in towns and villages throughout the area and poppy wreathes were laid at cenotaphs and memorials.
Many people stopped to observe a silence at 11 am on Monday.
Though marchers dwindle, the silent tribute was as poignant and deeply felt as ever as local people remembered thosed who never made it home with the touching words ... "We shall remember them."
