BAD weather has led to the delay of the Royal Forest of Dean College's production of the musical 'Rent', which will now be shown from February 26-28.

All tickets already sold for February 5 to 7, when the show was originally scheduled, are transferrable to the corresponding evenings.

Rent is a rock opera, with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson based on Giacomo Puccini's opera La Bohème.

It tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of AIDs.

On Broadway, Rent gained critical acclaim and won a Tony Award for Best Musical among other awards.

Tickets are available from college reception or by calling 01594 833416. Shows start at 7.30pm.
