EASTER Monday sees a double celebration for the 14th Coleford Carnival of Transport.

"As the whole country gears up to celebrate the Royal Wedding at the end of the week, we are encouraging entrants to decorate their vehicles and expect white ribbons flowers and other enhancements to mark the happy couple's marriage," says a spokesman.

"This year unbelievably sees the 50th Anniversary of the Jaguar E-type. This iconic roadster has, for many enthusiasts never been surpassed as the ultimate roadster and to own one remains the dream of thousands. We will have a centrepiece display of E-types to mark this milestone."

With over 600 vehicles of all types expected and a full range of supporting events including craft fair and auto jumble, the free event provides a great day out for the whole family.

There is free parking and a park and ride service in and out of the town centre from the signposted car parks at Gloucestershire College (Five Acres), the Sawmills or Elwood School.
