TV food personality, Gregg Wallace, is returning to the Forest Showcase Food and Drink festival this Sunday (October 6).
The famous BBC Masterchef judge appeared at the show last year and enjoyed himself so much he asked to come back. This year he is returning as a guest of honour to open the show at the Speech House Hotel grounds and meet with fellow food enthusiasts throughout the day.
At least 70 exhibitors are expected to be at the show showing off a fabulous wide selection of food including handmade scotch eggs, freshly-baked artisan breads, locally-brewed beers, award-winning preserves as well as homemade cakes and pastries.
Top local chef Martin Adams from the Tudor Farmhouse at Clearwell, will be among a number of chefs in the area who will demonstrate their culinary skills in the ever-so popular cookery theatre. There will also be workshops designed for children to get their hands stuck into including pasta making, kneading dough and a spice challenge.
A jazz quartet will entertain visitors as well as Chepstow Community Big Band and a juggling chef will be on hand to entertain the youngsters. This year's selection of arts and crafts will have green ideas on composting, how to build an earth oven and vegetable growing tips.
