CHEPSTOW-based Morris side The Widders welcomed a group of dancers from Italy to the annual celebration of music and dance.

The 48 dancers from Rocca Grimalda were immediately recognisable by their distinctive costumes which included colourful flower-covered hats.

The Italian Dancers known as "La Lachera" invited the Widders to Italy in 2011 and so the Widders extended a welcome to Wales.

Among those watching displays by the Widders, La Lachera and several other Morris sides were the Mayor of Chepstow Cllr Stephanie Dovey and Deputy Mayor Cllr Ned Heywood.
