It’s pantomime time with Odd Socks Entertainment at Lydney Town Hall on Saturday, December 15, and we are excited to be giving away a ticket for a family of four to see Sleeping Beauty as this week’s fantastic prize.
Sleeping Beauty tells the story of princess Aurora, the most beautiful princess in all of the land. She has fallen into a deep sleep after the evil witch Maleficent laid a curse upon her, but who’s going to save her? The Handsome Prince? Flora the Fairy? Dame Dolly Dumpling? Oh dear – it seems like they need all the help they can get!
Come and see a fantastic show (and an even better adventure) in Lydney. You can help save Princess Aurora and stop that gruesome Maleficent (boooo!)
Will you be coming along? Oh no you won’t? Oh yes you will!
Brought to life by a fantastic team of performers, Sleeping Beauty is a show not to be missed by any member of the family.
Sarah Jeffery, owner and founder of Odd Socks Entertainment, graduated in 2013 with a performing arts degree from Gloucestershire. Since then her career has taken her to lots of different places, and she is now living and working up north in Liverpool.
She says: "I always knew I wanted to perform and in recent years decided I wanted to be my own boss and start my own company. One year on I am running a successful business and we are soon to be taking our first project on the road, all over the UK into schools and theatres.
"I wanted to perform back home in Gloucestershire, so I got in contact with Lydney Town Hall and we are performing it there on December 15 - which I am very excited about, and ever so slightly nervous."
The company is holding two performances, one at 2pm and the other at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6.00 for children and £7.00 for adults. Family tickets are also available for two adults and two children. You can buy tickets from www.ticketsource.co.uk or on the Odd Socks website www.oddsocksentertainments.co.uk Doors open half an hour before the performance.
