THE Review are pleased to have teamed up with Cotswold Farm Park for this week’s fabulous competition!
Adam Henson, the well-known farmer who presents his own section on BBC’s Countryfile, is passionate about farming and conservation. His father Joe founded the park in 1971 to help protect rare breeds of farm animals. Now Adam and his team, including business partner Duncan, continue in his wellington-booted footprints.
Cotswold Farm Park reopens on February 16 after closing for the winter. The season begins with one of the highlights of the year - lambing! Visitors will be able to get close to the adorable animals, and can even have a go at bottle feeding the new arrivals.
This season the usual fun will also be happening at the farm park; catch a ride on the farm safari tractor, cuddle fluffy rabbits and chicks and take a stroll through the Rare Breeds Through History Walkway where the animals can be hand fed.
There is also a selection of indoor and outdoor play for the kids to let off some steam.
The newly constructed visitor centre opens this Saturday, and both the café and shop remain free to enter. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the Cotswold countryside in the café, a scene not to be missed whilst tucking in to a hot meal or perhaps a cup of tea accompanied by a slice of homemade cake.
Cotswold Farm Park is open daily from February 16, from 10.30am until 5.00pm. Lambing takes place every day until April 28.
Located near Guiting Power, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL54 5FL, look out for the brown tourist signs as you approach the area, which is about 2 miles from the postcode if you are using sat nav.
