POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision which left a woman driver with a serious leg injury this morning (Wednesday, November 15).

They particularly want to speak to a woman travelling in a red car who may have seen the incident on the A4136 between Nailbridge and Brierley around 11.30am, when a blue Fiat Panda left the road and came to a stop on a slight embankment.

Firefighters freed the woman driver from the car and she was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with a serious leg injury.

Parts of the road between the Swan in Brierley and Hawkwell lights remained shut throughout the afternoon while police investigated.If anyone saw the incident, they should call Gloucestershire Police on 101 or email [email protected] and quote incident 141 of 15 November.
