I NOTICE from the recent letters page that the anti-UKIP brigade are still throwing their toys out of the pram because of the gains   made by UKIP in the recent council   and European elections.

Over the years there have been many comments by your correspondents, some have been silly, some have been rude and some have been downright offensive.

The award for the most stupid however must go to the final comment by True Blue in last weeks letters page.   He/she stated that "The lesson the British electorate needs to learn is that if you don't vote, the wrong party wins."

I assume by this comment he/she means that the "right" party would be the one that he/she was supporting.

In a democracy it is not a case of the right or wrong person winning, it is a case of the will of the people prevailing.

If True Blue gets fed up with the British electorate continually electing the 'wrong' party there are parts of the world where they don't have democracy. I hear North Korea can be nice at this time of year.
