A CHARITY zumbathon has helped raise more than £3,000 for St John's Playgroup in Coleford and CLIC Sargent, the charity caring for children and young people with cancer.

Hayley Whittington, who organised the zumbathon at Whitemead Forest Park, said: "It was a brilliant day and great to see zumba-lovers old and new enjoying themselves with their families while raising money for two great causes.

"Everyone has worked so hard to get sponsorship and I am really grateful to all my loyal class members who supported this event and there is still more money to come in.

"Angela Davies and all the staff at Whitemead forest Park deserve a big thank you for all their hard work and making the day run so smoothly, also for generously giving us free use of the venue."
