ELLWOOD maintained their unbeaten home record but this result was seen as two points dropped rather than one gained.

Despite their current mid-table position the Forest side still has plenty to play for this season.

Manager Chris Addis said: "We've got games in hand so we're hoping for a top three finish and we're in the semi-final of the league cup."

Ellwood have four games in hand over second-placed Gala Wilton who currently have an 11-point advantage.

Third-placed Bristol Telephones have played two games more and are six points ahead while fourth-placed Frampton are three points to the good but have played a massive six games more.

The league cup semi-final is this Saturday (March 20) at Ellwood's ground against Longlevens who are looking odds-on to take the league.

Ellwood had to come from behind to earn a point but they had plenty of chances to make sure of the three.

Daryl Addis got the goal, slotting home a low shot after some good support work from Gary Wildin.

Manager Chris said: "This is a game we really should have won but we just couldn't get that second goal."

Addis is confident that the squad can make an impact in the division.

He added: "We've just signed Charley Mason from Cheltenham and we've got a good youth system here.

"We've had three of the under-16s come through which is encouraging.

"There are some physical Bristol sides in this league so you can't bring them in all at once but they are playing with experienced players.
