LYDNEY boxer "Poochi" is calling for all supporters to get behind him for his next big fight.
Lewis Van Poetsch or "Poochi", as he is known, has been boxing for eight years and will be fighting against the former British Masters Champion, Rocky Chakr.
The 22-year-old said: "I have two big fights coming up and need as much support as possible from the public and if they can come along - even better! I turned pro last year and have since lost one fight and won one."
Poochi will be competing at the Bristol Academy on Saturday, April 27 and then gearing himself up for the Championship Boxing fight on Saturday, May 11 in the GL1 Leisure Centre where he will be among eight boxers fighting.
He added: "I have been working really hard with my trainer Tony Borg as well as Bryan Higgs to make sure I am in top form and at my best for the fight. If I get my supporters to come along to watch then I might just have a cracking win!"
