LYDNEY Town Youth under-nines have welcomed new raincoats from a local businessman.

Dave Beddis, of DBC solutions Ltd and Dean Fire, has sponsored the team with new raincoats which came in very handy during the recent storm.

Team coach, Craig Cunliffe said: “We have welcomed the new jackets and the boys love them. Dave’s lad plays for us and he’s seen a lot of the teams we play turn up in their jackets looking smart and us wearing all kinds of clothing. He came to me and asked if I’d like the kids to have jackets which I quickly replied ‘yes’. So he sorted it out.

“We can’t thank him enough.”
