BERRY Hill U13 girls have had a ferocious week of rugby.

First they beat Cinderford U13s in a well matched game where Hill won 14-10.

Evie Pearce ventured over the try line seven times and recent ex-Berry Hill player Chloe Palmer evened up on Cinderford’s score sheet.

Girl of the game was Kelsey O’Sullivan who tackled strongly in her first game of rugby.

The team then ventured out for an early kick-off against Chipping Sodbury, who dominated the ruck and maul and proved much stronger opposition.

Kacey Hill managed to bully her way through Sodbury’s defence to score Hill’s only try in their 40+ defeat.

Harriet Bryant, with her trademark dogged determination, tackled her heart out, winning her the “Top Tackler” medal and girl of the game award.

All were rewarded for their valiant efforts by a trip to McDonald’s on the way home.

Training is Wednesday nights 6pm-7pm at Lakers Road.
