• Organising a street parade these days is a real song and

dance. It was all so much easier back in the time when

these two photographs were snapped in Blakeney. The top

picture, captioned 'AOF Carnival '(Ancient Order of

Foresters?) shows an event passing the village school in

the High Street and gives an intriguing glimpse of the old

railway bridge which crossed the road nearby. The bottom

picture is of a bigger event, perhaps a Sunday School

parade or even the village fete. Anyone who can help with
