I would like to say a big thank you to Elizabeth Ball, director of Taurus Crafts, Lydney, for securing a visit of the spectacular "Luminarium" to Lydney.

This amazing attraction has visited venues the world over from Bilbao, Spain to the Sydney Opera House in Australia. Now the Forest of Dean can be added to the list.

The Forest is an amazing place to visit with some wonderful tourist attractions and, at last, we are seeing more tourist in our local shops. Over the next six weeks, with school holidays, traders will be visited by customers from all parts of the UK and beyond. This should give businesses a small but welcome boost during a hard trading period.

Well done Elizabeth for arranging the visit of "Luminarium". I am looking foward to your next idea to bring the crowds to Lydney.
