THE Forest of Dean Motor Club would like to thank all the contractors who answered our plea for help on Friday to run last weekend's 'Get Connected Wyedean Forest Rally.'
Without their help the event would not have run. They worked non-stop with us, from 11am Friday to 10pm to clear 40 miles of deep lying snow on the Forestry roads, up to a foot deep.
Some even returned Saturday morning to offer more assistance. None of them had any connection to the motor club.
Special thanks to Mike Truman who organised the machine drivers and Martin Watts and his team who worked from 6am Friday to 2am Saturday morning, trying to keep stages clear.
