WHAT little time I had for Councilor Hogan has now flown out of the window. It is totally beyond my understanding that he has focused his attention almost exclusively on the fact that the council leader spoke to the media the day the Forest delegation went to the House of Lords to campaign for the status quo.

I am afraid that it is very apparent that he could not resist the opportunity to play politics once again, and bad mouth the Tory leadership.

I don't care how many people speak to the media in this matter – the more people who speak, the better and the higher the profile. As leader of the whole council, it would have been wrong for Mr Amos not to have done so. In fact, if he had not done so, no doubt Mr Hogan would have had something to say about that for his own political ends. I also don't care when and how Mr Amos gave his interview – I am pleased that his support has been made apparent. I realise that Mr Hogan is consumed by this petty aside but perhaps he would take a moment to think about exactly what was achieved by this trip to London at the taxpayers' expense – I would like some detail.
