THOSE young and old had a great time at this year's Soudley annual duck race.
The race which was on Saturday (May 18) at the village market raised £187.20 for the children's charity, The James Hopkins Trust.
Event organiser, Margaret Still said: "The day was great and all the children had a wail of a time as they followed the ducks down the brook.
"We raised about £20 more this year than in previous years which was reflected in the fact that we used up all our surplus ducks.
"People paid a £1 to register their rubber duck in the race and races were in heats with the winners of each heat competing in the final."
Jim Portsmouth faced stiff competition as he lost out on a place in the top three to children. Eight-year-old, Tom Hyett came in first followed by Sophy Harvey in second place and Harry Parsons in third.
"Prizes were given to the young and old and we had a raffle. In total, we raised £187.20 which is wonderful as the trust we are donating the money to works hard to help support severely disabled, life threatened and life limited children aged five and under in Gloucestershire.
"We wish to thank all those who took part and congratulate the winners."
