I AM just writing to say what a fantastic evening I had at the Model Village, Lydney on Friday, July 24. It was a classical music evening with the Primrose Piano Quartet in aid of The Forest Hospice, Coleford.

The evening started with a glass of champagne and a walk around the beautiful gardens of the Model Village. The gardens looked even more spectacular when lit later in the evening. The evening's entertainment was very enjoyable and the food and wine of exceptional quality.

Jane O'Brien was a great hostess and her staff were extremely helpful and polite.

What a shame that this event was not better supported, especially as it was for a local charity. I would highly recommended the Model Village for any other events and wish them luck in the future. – Name and address supplied.
