IT is now obvious to all observers that the Co-op Superstore in Coleford must have a secret scheme, as part of a second stage, for their new extension.

The above will consist of a beautiful, exciting, additional feature to be erected on the top of their entrance block monstrosity.

At the moment the tower is visibly half finished and it is clear to everybody that something interesting is going to be built on top of the present flat slab, more in keeping with the pretty market town of Coleford.

So, come on, you Forest planning officers, please don't keep us guessing any longer, come clean, tell us what it's going to be, don't inflict anymore pain on us poor citizens of Coleford. We don't deserve it.

The latest comparison being made to the Co-op carbuncle entrance tower is its similarity to a sky burial platform in which dead bodies are laid to rest, ready to be eaten up by vultures, who circle overhead in anticipation of a tasty morsel of human flesh.

Where are the Co-op architects, when we need them the most?
