AFTER all the grass cutting fiasco some of us council have been put on a twice-a-year cut which to me is stupid.

So I took it upon myself to mow the small piece of grass outside my property thinking I was doing a good deed as I've seen plenty of other tenants mow theirs.

To my dismay I had a phone call telling me that I had been reported for cutting this small piece of grass outside my house (apparently it's a health and safety issue).

Needless to say I was very annoyed as it looks untidy and you don't know what is going to be in there when it grows so thick and high.

A day after this phone call the contractors were out mowing some areas of the estate. I couldn't work this out at all. Why cut part of the street and leave the other half?

We pay for this service in our rent yet we don't get it mowed very often but, as I told the man on the phone, I can't say I won't cut it again!
