AT a recent open meeting in the Miners Welfare Hall in Cinderford to discuss the Wilderness Centre, those who hadn't been to the Wilderness Centre were encouraged to visit. I did.
The Wilderness Centre is one of the most special places I have ever been to, and has been described as 'the best outdoor classroom in the West'. If you haven't been there, go.
The Protect the Wilderness group has just one demand: that the place is kept open to teach the environment. I attach a picture of the gardens they have prepared.
If the 'Friends of the Wilderness' Trust does have to buy the property from our own County Council, I feel it should be for no more than £1.
