WITH reference to the letter printed in the Review I would like to inform you that my dog was also involved in a vicious and unprovoked attack by a white bull terrier in Linear Park last Saturday morning.

This would make it the third time this dog has been reported. Because it is relatively flat Linear Park is used extensively by elderly people walking their dogs, people using mobility scooters, wheelchairs, mums with pushchairs and toddlers, and people with small, elderly dogs who don't need much exercise.

My dog, a Parson Russell terrier, was left badly hurt, bleeding and traumatised – I dread to think what the outcome of this totally unprovoked attack would have been for a Yorkie.

I also reported this incident to the police and was advised by them to contact the dog warden, which I did. This is a dangerous dog which was neither muzzled or on a lead.
