THIS unusual view of St John’s Church in Coleford was captured using a camera mounted on a drone.

A 10-minute film was shot by Brian Jones on behalf of the Friends of St John’s Church group which is campaigning for the church to be re-opened.

The drone circles above the church and there are close-ups of the roof and architecture. The film also shows the interior of the Victorian church.

A spokesman for the Friends group said: “It’s a fantastic piece of footage and shows the dominant position of the church above Coleford.

“There are some roof tiles missing which must have gone quite recently but apart from that the roof looks to be in very good condition.
