ON Tuesday June 23 I was driving down Dockham Road, Cinderford, when a 4x4 came around the bend going well over the 20mph speed limit. It just managed to stop before it hit me, but then it started moving towards me, making me go back. I pulled into a driveway of a house. When he was about to drive past, I called to him about the speed limit.
He then became abusive to me in a personal way, saying "You! Your son's a junkie, a thieving junkie.'
I have no idea who this man is and I would like an explanation of this comment.
My son has had problems with drugs and is on a help programme. His problems have caused all his family much heartache and ill health.
I am sure we are not on our own, I expect other parents in Cinderford have gone through the same problems.
My son, like most addicts, is not a "drug dealer" or a criminal.
My husband and I have always tried to help him with his problem. He is not a bad person, and always did well at school and in his exams, and always worked from leaving school.
For this man to say it is my fault is very wrong. It is not any parents' fault.
The problem with drugs in Cinderford needs sorting out before it brings more pain into family life. – Angry and upset (name and address supplied).
