CYCLIST Adrian Goss is preparing to pedal from Land's End to John O' Groats in aid of the McMillan Cancer Trust.

He'll be riding in a larger group, all averaging in their 60s, as part of Robert's Ride which starts on June 1.

They'll be averaging a gruelling 70 miles a day for two saddle-sore weeks.

And the reason for starting at Land's End?

"You're going with the wind, not against it," explains Adrian, from Viney Hill.

It's not the first challenge Adrian has tackled. Apart from walking 570 miles across Spain, playing rugby, rowing and running marathons, he's recently switched to Triathlons although by his own admission: "I could barely swim. By that I mean I could only do about half a length doggy-paddle style."
