The Review are delighted to have a family pass to the Forest of Dean Model Railway Club’s annual Model Railway Show as the prize in this week’s competition.
The Forest of Dean Model Railway Club is holding their annual Model Railway Show at the Dean Academy (previously Whitecross school), in Lydney, on Saturday, 29 September (11am – 5pm) and Sunday, 30th September 2018 (10am – 4pm).
There will be over 20 layouts on show and trade stands selling their latest wares, along with refreshments on site provided by the Dean Forest Railway. The site is wheelchair friendly and parking is free. The sponsors of this event are Derails Model Shop of Coleford, who sell new model railways from Hornby, Peco, Bachmann plus more, from their store in Market Place Coleford.
The Forest of Dean Model Railway Club is based in Drybrook, near Cinderford, and welcome members from all ages to come and build, maintain and operate model railways. Prospective members are offered three free evenings to decide if membership is for them. To see more about the club, what it’s about and how you can get involved, head to www.fodmrc.org.uk.
Entry to the show costs £5 for an adult ticket, and children under 16 are just £2, with under five-year-olds free. A great value family ticket is available (two adults and three children) for £12.00.
