I WAS born and bred in Cinderford at Station Street the house just below the Police Station.

I have seen Cinderford through the years change so dramatically. It used to be a bustling town and I can name almost every shop that was here. If anyone wishes to contact me I can prepare a list.

Now we seem to have charity shops and endless take-aways.

When a shop does open there is another one left empty. I really can't imagine what visitors think when they visit Cinderford.

Obviously now with the loss of Woolworths there is really only one store to walk around. I for one sincerely hope Tesco comes to Cinderford.

Cinderford is not dying it is already dead. How sad. J. C. Fawk (Mrs), Cinderford.
