The cross and tomb were empty,

No body could be seen,

For Christ had surely vanished,

Just what could it mean?

For three days death held Him,

But no longer held it's sway,

For He was now alive again,

On that first Easter day.

The Son of God our Saviour,

Who gave His life, that we,

Might through Him be forgiven,

And live eternally.

Our Saviour died to give us life,

And wash away our sin,

To cleanse our lives, inside and out,

And make us pure within.

As He loved us, so let us love,

And show to all we meet,

Care and concern, and give our help,

As we this Easter greet.
