WHEN new-born baby Alexa Louise May visited the Forest from her Ireland home, there was a meeting of five generations of her family.
Alexa's great-great-grandmother Agnes Hoare is 91 years-old and lives in The Elms, Staunton.
Her great-grandmother Sheina Simmons lives in Monmouth and her grandmother Amanda Williams and mother Leah Simmons live in Ireland.
Great-great-grandmother Agnes is not particularly well but was delighted to meet the youngest addition to her large family.
Great-grandmother Sheina said: "It was wonderful to find out I was going to be a great-grandmother at the age of 62!
"We always knew she was going to be a little girl and when she came along we were all thrilled to bits."
Alexa was 8lb 12oz when she was born by caesarean section on June 11.
"It was a quick dash because the baby was getting a little bit stressed, but both of them are fine now.
"Leah and her partner are engaged, but the baby came along before they had a chance to get married, as they sometimes do!"
