Ashleigh Embling, 15, from Cinderford has been given the big thumbs up by judges at the Open Mic UK auditions.

Along with other impressive acts including Ellie Higgs from Lydney, singer Ashleigh has made it through to the Regional Finals and will now be performing at the live showcases of Open Mic UK 2011.

Meanwhile Ellie wowed the crowd and judging panel at one of the recent Open Mic UK Regional Showcases, and is now just one step away from performing at The O2 in London.

Open Mic UK 2011 is a national talent competition which searches for the UK's best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who perform either covers or original material.
