A WELL-KNOWN Coleford drag queen featured in a new documentary looking into the industry.
Hairdresser Ashley Putland, 28, who goes under the name 'Miss Felicia' by night, was head-hunted by producers based at the University of Gloucestershire, in Cheltenham, for a new documentary called Life's a Drag.
The show featured the day-to-day life of both Ashley and another drag queen in Cardiff.
Ashley said: "I was approached quite a while ago for this documentary and the producers came out to film me at the hair salon and undertaking day-to-day tasks.
"I was a dancer until I was 16, and then moved to the Forest from London when I was 19 where I went to work in a hair salon. I got into drag soon after and taught myself how to apply makeup etc.
"My drag queen act has helped me raise lots of money for local and national charities including the Children's Opportunity Centre and Cancer Research UK. I am now working in bars and clubs."
