COLEFORD bodybuilder Austin Williams has smashed his third place ‘rut’ for silver during his latest contest.
It was third time lucky for Austin at the UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation British Championships, in Nottingham, as for the last two years he has won bronze in the classic bodybuilding class.
Austin has had a very busy and successful year so far, competing in the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic in USA back in March where he was placed sixth and then went on to win first place at the Bodypower Expo at the Birmingham NEC in May.
He also won first place at the Cumbrian Classic at Workington in June and second place at the English Grand Prix, High Wycombe in July. All these wins qualified him to enter the Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Contest held in Madrid in September where he was placed in the top 15. They also qualified him to enter the British Championships which is such a large contest it is held over two days and a credit to win the silver medal.
His next competition is at the Amateur Olympia in the Echo Arena, Liverpool on November 1 where he will compete against the world’s best.
