ALTHOUGH I am not a customer of Beales, I am annoyed to read of the Co-op's decision to withdraw the lease to this business.

Having moved to Cinderford some six years ago it has always been obvious to me as an "outsider" that the town is in desperate need of investment and closing this shop is another nail in the coffin of Cinderford.

I would really like to understand what justification the Co-op have for their action. The sooner Cinderford waters down the stranglehold that I am informed the Co-op  has on the town the better. With the new housing development now in progress, what possible incentive is there for anyone to move to the town?
