PROCEEDS from a charity treasure hunt have been split between three cancer charities.
Great Oaks Hospice, Sue Ryder Hospice and Macmillan Nurses all received around £150 each, which was raised by the Forest of Dean Motorcycle Club in conjunction with Xerox Social Club in Mitcheldean in July.
Two cheque presentations were made last Tuesday.
Mike Hook, of the Forest of Dean Motorcycle Club, said: “We held the treasure hunt because we have all been touched by this beastly condition. I have had my right kidney removed due to renal cancer and Maddy McClaughlin is recovering from breast cancer surgery.
“The event was reasonably successful and last Tuesday members of two of the charities were able to attend our regular meeting to receive cheques for one third of the proceeds.”
