POLICE are investigating after two boys were approached by a man in a car who offered them a lift.

On Friday, April 20 the ten-year-olds were walking near the Quayside at Brockweir when the incident took place. 

The boys declined and walk away. The man in the car then drove off.

He was described as white, aged between 60 and 70-years-old, bald but with grey hair at the sides of his head and distinctive yellowing teeth. He was driving a silver or light blue car.

PC Sue Smith said: "The boys did exactly the right thing by refusing to accept the lift and leaving the area before immediately telling their parents, who then informed the police. 

"We understand that there will be concern from parents following this incident but we are actively investigating this and would like the public's help as we'd like to speak to this man and anyone else who saw the vehicle in the area."

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 411 of April 20.
