I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the people who stopped to assist me.
Having fallen in a similar way some 14 years ago and cracked two vertebrae in my back I was extremely worried it had happened again.
So I would like to thank the people who called for an ambulance, the people who covered me with a space blanket and the paramedics who came down from the ambulance station and got me from the car park to the traffic lights at Tufthorn Avenue so I could be transferred to an ambulance into Gloucester.
I would also particularly like to thank the gentleman who helped the paramedic get me onto a backboard and then took my keys and shopping to a friend's house and explained the situation to her.
I volunteer in the Great Oaks Hospice charity shop on Monday mornings and I would very much like to thank these gentlemen in person if they come into the shop.
Fortunately there was nothing broken this time but I'm going to be very bruised and sore for some time to come.
Once again, thank you to everyone who helped me. – R.S. Walker (Rainbow Walker), Lords Hill, Coleford.
