LYDNEY’s branch of the Coventry Building Society presented a cheque for £1,000 to the Friends of Lydney Hospital last Thursday (April 6).

Anthony Midgley, chair of the Friends group, said: “We are delighted to receive this generous sum, all of which was raised in the branch. We are able to report that the new X-ray suite is currently being installed and is on track for its opening in early May.”

Community liaison officer for the building society, Donna Chilton, said: “We are delighted to support the Friends of Lydney Hospital. Many of our staff live locally and we appreciate the wonderful facility which we have on our doorstep.”
