REGARDING the proposed closure of bus routes 74, X74 and 60 I urge everyone to contact their representatives in Parliament, county councils, Welsh Assembly and local own and community councils.

Please stress your worries and concerns that a lifeline has been threatened, indeed, a most necessary lifeline.

I have contacted David Davies MP, Jessica Morden MP, Cllr Peter Fox (leader of Monmouthshire County Council), Nick Ramsay of the Welsh Assembly and Tony Griffiths, chairman of Portskewett Community Council.

I have found these representatives and their staff most courteous, helpful and sympathetic.

So please get in contact to preserve a way of life to which we are all entitled to. The representatives do need to hear from everyone.

– Shirley Sperring, Portskewett
