CULVER Street in Newent was closed on Friday after a truck ran into the Buttery tea rooms.

No one was injured in the 2.50pm collision but the road was closed while a surveyor carried out checks on the building to ensure it was stable.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 242 of March 23.
