Well here we go again. Chepstow needs a bypass. Just as we have read every year for the last 29 years and I have no doubt that it will continue.

The people of Sedbury and  Thornwell  fought and won a battle not to have a by-pass built through our lovely countryside some years ago complete with a bridge over the Wye  and up through Thornwell.

It went all the way to a public inquiry which dismissed the plan as inappropriate.

If Cllr Bevan (whoever he is) would like to get all his facts together and if nobody has told him.

There is also a new plan proposing  some 200 to 300 new homes on the cards just off the A48 in Sedbury. If you want your bypass  let it turn left at Tesco and follow the proposed route alongside the railway as was first proposed in 1984.

Alternatively get them to build another bridge at Lydney the river is narrower there.

We do not want your air pollution.
