MONMOUTHSHIRE County Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB) is the new name for the merging of the three former Citizens Advice Bureau in Abergavenny, Caldicot and Chepstow.

The merger, which began in September, aims to 'better meet the needs of clients and funders in an environment where the demands for advice services are becoming more diverse and complex'.

Chair of the Monmouthshire County CAB, Andrew Porter, commented: "Each of the three bureau have long played a key role in their communities in providing much needed advice to people ion need. We plan to build on these solid foundations, including the valuable relationships we have with local partners, to build an even stronger organisation.

"We will continue to work with town and community councils, as well as Monmouthshire County Council, to ensure that local needs are well understood and that the first class service that people are used to will continue."

The launch of Monmouthshire County CAB has received the full support of the membership body, Citizens Advice, to which all Citizens Advice Bureaux are affiliated.
