IN light of the recent spate of dirty tricks by the Co-op regarding trying to oust Tesco out of Cinderford. Not only have they harrassed their staff, and customers, but they have now started sending letters to the members inciting us to complain about the future of Tesco in the town.
I have to say this...I find the Co-op is the only store that will eventually bring Cinderford to its knees, and in the 35 years I lived in Cinderford it has had the monopoly, and over the years has opposed anyone and anything that they may have had to compete with, coming to Cinderford.
The store has successfully been incorporated in Lydney and that town has a Co-op and a Somerfields. And tell me who dictates that Cinderford is only allowed to have one major store ...why, it's the Co-op that dictates...because it always has and always will and unless the local councillors start standing up to them and start listening to the needs of the locals then Cinderford will never thrive. – Name and address supplied.
