IN March I wrote warning about Cameron's latest folly over Libya. Two months later and the tragedy continues to unfold. Originally, camouflaged as a humanitarian defence of civilians, the conflict has now escalated into an operation clearly designed to remove Gaddafi. Quite what business it was of ours to take sides in a tribal war in another land has yet to be explained to the people of this country.
The cost to us, the poor taxpayers, continues to rise from the original tens of millions towards the billion pounds mark. For a country already vastly in debt to undertake such an adventure is astounding. Still I suppose it all goes with the billions of pounds that we are donating in aid and the billions that we are contributing to bail out the Euro.
When the Euro project and Libya goes pear shaped please remember that all the three main parties supported these policies and the United Kingdom Independence Party opposed it!
