YOUTH theatre group Found in The Forest has received £500 from law firm Harrison Clark Rickerby’s charitable trust.
Found in the Forest youth theatre is delivered by Arts in Rural Gloucestershire and meets each Sunday at Artspace in Cinderford.
Set up in 2006, the youth theatre is open to children and young people aged from seven to 19.
Youth theatre director Jamie Lee said: “Each week young people learn skills in theatre and performance and at the end of each term get to perform to the public in venues across the Forest.
“In 2015 our senior group were lucky to be chosen as one of only 10 youth groups from across the UK to perform at the final of the National Theatre Connections festival in London on the National Theatre stage.
“We’d like to thank Harrison Clark Rickerby for their very kind and generous donation. The money will benefit local young people who participate in our weekly drama sessions, building key skills in performing as well as soft skills such as public speaking, working as part of a team and event planning.
“The money will go towards our spring season of workshops, where the young people will be working towards a a brand new performance. Anyone interested in joining can come along for a free taster session.”
