CATH and Alan Drew are pictured celebrating 73 happy years of marriage.

Cath, a Cinderford girl, and Alan, from Soudley, tied the knot at St John's Church in Cinderford on April 8 1939.

The couple lived at Littledean Hill in Cinderford for 66 years, later moving to Woodside Avenue. They have two daughters: Olive, who lives with her husband Boy in Exeter, and Christine, who lives in Lydney with her husband Terry.

Cath and Alan moved to live with Christine and Terry seven years ago. They now have seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great great grandsons.
